How to choose 3D-printed concrete fence columns
The column sets the character of the whole fence: it decides the look, the budget and what kind of infill you can fit between the posts. Here are the five 3D BETON models, their sizes, prices and where each one works best.

What all the columns have in common
Every 3D BETON column is printed from M250 concrete with crushed stone on CRAFTRUDER equipment and then steam-cured in a chamber. The reinforcement is composite. The concrete has a density of 2270 kg/m³, frost resistance F150–F200, water resistance W6 and water absorption of up to 3%. That is why the column needs no cladding: the surface is already finished, with no plaster or tiles required.
The columns are hollow. During installation the cavity is filled with concrete on site, so the column and its footing work as one piece. The standard height is 2 m and can be changed in 20 cm steps. At the bottom there is a plinth, also in 20 cm steps, and a concrete cap closes the top.
Five models: sizes and prices
Below are list prices for one column 2 m high. The final amount depends on height, quantity and options, so every estimate is calculated individually.
- Column 40: 40×25×200 cm, UAH 3,448.25.
- Column 78: 80×25×200 cm, UAH 6,685.25.
- Column 78 radius: 80×25×200 cm, rounded shape with a recess for an uplight at the base, UAH 6,201.
- Column 78 fluted: 80×25×200 cm, vertical fluting on the front face, UAH 7,387.25.
- Column 117: 117×25×200 cm, UAH 9,220.25.
Where each column fits
Column 40 is the most compact and the most affordable. It suits long side and rear runs of fence where budget matters, and light infill such as pickets, metal sheeting or horizontal ranch boards. On a long fence the price difference is multiplied by the number of posts, so the saving is real.
Column 78 is more massive and looks closer to a traditional brick pillar. It works well on the street side of the plot, next to the gate and wicket, and for heavier infill such as concrete panels or timber slats.
The radius Column 78 is for anyone who wants the fence lit in the evening: the recess at the base is designed for a light fitting. Plan the cable early, before anyone digs the footings, so you do not have to dig up the plot twice.
The fluted Column 78 suits classic-style houses where the fence should echo the facade. Column 117 is the widest model, so it makes sense where you want an accent: at the driveway, by the entrance or on the corners of the plot.
One more useful feature: the hollow columns can also serve as permanent formwork for carport or canopy supports, so the fence and the canopy share the same look.
Caps and plinth
The cap protects the top of the column from water and finishes its look. Caps start from UAH 700 each and the price depends on size, so wider columns need a more expensive cap. One cap is counted per column.
The plinth at the bottom of the column comes in 20 cm steps. It helps keep the fence line level on a sloping plot and lifts the infill above the ground, away from dirt, snow and moisture.
What to put between the columns
You can fit any infill between the columns: pickets, louvres, ranch boards, metal sheeting, timber slats or concrete panels. If you buy the infill elsewhere, our estimate covers only the columns and caps.
If you want an all-concrete fence, look at the ready-made models: “Wave” and “Chain” at UAH 2,704/m², “Classic” 40/80/120 from UAH 2,427.75/m², and the premium “Kharkiv”, “Odesa” and “Tyn” made to an individual design. You will find them all in the Fences and columns section.
In short: how to decide
If you are unsure, start from the task:
- long fence on a tight budget: Column 40;
- the look of a brick pillar without cladding: Column 78;
- evening lighting: radius Column 78;
- classic house facade: fluted Column 78;
- an accent at the driveway or wicket: Column 117.
